Hmm this will probably be my last submission in quite a long time. Most of the friends I've made on this site have dropped off... seems like there are cycles of people here, all getting really involved with DA to fill the void in their real life, then once their situation changes the need for this site goes with it.
You pretty much get out what you put in round here, and if you want a lot of comments you have to spend a lot of time getting into the community and participating. Seeing how I can no longer do that due to time constraints, the secondary reason for joining DA (getting better in various aspects of art) has also disappeared as I tend to get only 2 or 3 comments on my latest stuff. The maturity displayed here is pretty awful as well, and generally things are dominated by a vocal, arrogant and self-absorbed clique that is all too reminiscent of my time in high school.
Not too sure anyone gives a damn anymore but I figured an explanation was better than fading away stealth style. Have fun kids
It's not fair that people always get these amazing shots of flowers of some odd origin when all we have here in New York City is grass and oak trees and, if we're lucky, a lily here and there.
The flowers look pretty -- I'd be lured in to smell the suckahs, very tempting.
Nice shot.

And, you speak the truth, my friend. I for one try and fill this community with something worth while -- I want people to remember me for a good natured individual that, heh, most of 'em (people I come into contact on dA) will never meet in "real" life.
And, as for filling a void within my own life... that's probably more true then what I tend to try and not to think about.
Good luck to you -- just know that I'll always be here to place in my on your things... though there will come a time where I cannot commit either, as much as I don't want to think of it.
the descrip is sad, because it's true, so i am disappointed that i am getting to know you just as you're fading away. as far as the shot is concerned, i think it's quite pleasing to the eye, both because of the complimentary colors you captured, and because of the fact that it's not just a lone flower you captured (like so many do), but a sort of vine of flowers. quite perdy!
First off, everyone here at deviantART would like to say THANK YOU!!! We have received an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm for the launch of version 6 and believe that this has been our best-received launch to date.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

And I know what you're saying... it is sad how devART is turning into a playground of some-sort, but that's the price of fame
