What features are missing from DA?

Journal Entry: Fri Jan 27, 2006, 7:30 PM
Just a quick question; what do you guys believe are some of the most critical features missing from DA that they should add?

I made a word document around April of last year that was something like 8 pages long, which outlined everything I thought needed to happen with dA to make it a viable and continuingly successful online entity.

I'm not sure what happened with it after the meeting. As far as I know, none of those changes have occurred. Now, not all changes are necessarily crucial or worth agreeing with, but I feel they were all good suggestions and a good number of them were well received.

The Public is more Familiar with Bad Design than Good Design. It is, in effect, conditioned to prefer Bad Design, because that is what it lives with. The new becomes Threatening, the Old Reassuring.

Do you still have the document around? I'd be really interested in looking at it..

My email is christopherwright@gmail.com if you want to shoot it over, would love to see what you wrote.

Yea, I'd like to see what you had to say too. Any chance of posting a journal of it?

Eh. °jark did several journals and stuff about them. I am pretty content with things now, but the Party system is gonna be sweet as well as if they make a collab tool (a deviation appearing in more than one person's gallery).

Does "new or proper management" count as a necessary feature that is missing from deviantART?

I honestly have no idea where it went. I recently lost a bunch of deviantart files and it may have been in there.

Excellent, cheers for that. I'll look into it tonight and hopefully leave some feedback.
